A pair of important safety vulnerabilities in Google’s Pixel cell phone line might result in privilege escalation and system takeover.
The Pixel bugs, tracked as CVE-2022-20231 and CVE-2022-20364, are within the Belief and Kernel elements, respectively, in line with Google’s Android safety advisory.
“For Google units, safety patch ranges of 2022-09-05 or later deal with all points on this bulletin and all points within the September 2022 Android Safety Bulletin,” Google stated in its Pixel patch advisory. “All supported Google units will obtain an replace to the 2022-09-05 patch stage. We encourage all prospects to simply accept these updates to their units.”
