SD Instances Open-Supply Challenge of the Week: Keploy

Keploy is a practical testing toolkit designed for builders that generates E2E exams for APIs (KTests) in addition to mocks or stubs (KMocks) by recording actual API calls.

In accordance with the mission’s GitHub web page, KTests may be imported as mocks for customers and vice-versa. KTests may also be merged with unit testing libraries comparable to Go-Check and JUnit so as to observe mixed test-coverage.

KMocks may also be referenced in exams that exist already or use wherever together with any testing framework. Moreover, KMocks may also be used as exams for the server.

The mission maintainers said that Keploy works by being added as middleware to the customers utility that then captures and replays all community interplay served to the applying from any supply.

Key options embrace the power to:

  • Export exams and mocks and keep alongside present exams
  • Combine with go-test and junit
  • Precisely detect noisy fields in API responses
